Data & Security
How a valuation works, and what never leaves your business.
The preliminary valuation touches nothing in your systems
The valuation tool asks about the shape of your data: industry, years of history, which systems you use, rough volume, how work is documented, whether outcomes are recorded. It never asks for exports, uploads, credentials or integrations. There is nothing to connect and nothing to upload.
Nothing leaves the ground without your approval
- A valuation does not transfer ownership of your data.
- It does not give Motherlode access to your systems.
- It does not obligate you to sell or license anything.
If we find something interesting, we explain exactly what we are interested in, which rights are involved and what we are offering before anything moves forward. You decide whether to proceed.
If a transaction proceeds
Any further review happens under a written agreement that covers confidentiality, scope and handling. Sensitive information, privacy requirements and contractual restrictions are identified during diligence, and material that cannot be transferred is excluded. The specifics are agreed with you in writing before any data is shared.
